Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 30, 2018 2:04 pm Hi All, We are thinking of building through Carlisle Homes and love the look of the Montpellier Grand. One of the things we've noticed however, is that the walk-in robes have no doors, which seems to be a little strange. Is this the latest look/trend in new houses? I'm not too keen on the "open" look as I like things to look clean and tidy, so for those of you who have built through Carlisle Homes, has anyone requested doors and if so, how much extra did it cost per door? I've also noticed that other than the top shelf, there are no other shelves or drawers (other than the main bedroom). Is this something that anyone has had put in and again, if so, what was the additional cost? Any info/tips etc would be great. Thanks so much. Montepellier is a beautiful floor plan. To help with your questions. Yes - almost all display homes we went to have no doors on the walk in robes, it is however an option that you can add doors. I could not give you a price as it depends on a lot of things, such as double door, or single door, is the wall load bearing etc. In regards to the shelving, you can either do a proper shelving fit out after, or through Carlisle it is around $1,000 upgrade for a fit out with double rails, drawers, open shelving etc. Hope this helps. I would HIGHLY recommend speaking to their sales team and visiting some displays of theirs to have a look in person etc. Re: Montpellier Grand - Carlisle Homes - Doors 3Jan 30, 2019 11:44 pm Ashleigh Hi Vetty, We are building the Dorchester 39 through Carlisle Homes next year. As our block size is 14m wide we are considering building Dorchester 39. However, we are not sure about the size of Master suite especially the width of the room and the size of the WIR in the master suite. Have you guys actually seen a Dorchester 39? If yes, can you please share your idea of how you found the Master suite and the WIR in it? Thanks, Susmit We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 24897 Hello, Whats peoples current experience building with Carlisle, specifically in SouthEast Melbourne? We are currently building in SE Melbourne and finding that quality… 0 6988 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 47696 |
