Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 27, 2018 1:39 pm Hi all We're doing our first knockdown/rebuild. The existing house is going to be demolished. My question is this: There is a left to right slope of around 1.2m on the property that we are going to have cut and filled so the end result is a flat block, with sides either battered or retained depending on how much width we think we might need. Can we get our demo guy to do the cut and fill while the equipment is out there, or can they only clear the block and can't modify the slope without council approval, and it needs to be done as part of new home build? Hey better man, your builder will flatten and even out the block. Congrats on the start of your build Re: demolition question - block cut & fill 3Nov 29, 2018 1:30 pm Melos betterman Hi all We're doing our first knockdown/rebuild.
