There is a step down in garage slab. The framing stands on the stepped down slab on two sides. One side it is flush to the slab edge. However, the in the second side there is a gap of around 40mm between slab and frame base, as it appears in the photo. I guess, the framer has done this deliberately to get the room size correct. If it is flush, the room next to garage (pantry and powder room in this case) would get reduced by around 40mm.
I asked the framer about this gap. He told that the gap later will get filled up by some concrete or something. Has anybody come accross a similar situation? Is it a concern? would they really fill? thanks.
