My partner and I are so excited to be building our first home. We have chosen to build with Hallmark Homes, their Retreat 305 in our modified design but basic footprint. We have had a very long drawn out process between waiting for finance and waiting for the builder. Now currently waiting for council approval... Important dates so far - 30/7/19 - Accepted offer on the land 10/8/19 - Paid deposit on house design 13/8/19 - Pre-approval on our finance 8/9/19 - Colour and tile selections 14/10/19 - Formal finance approval 4/11/19 - Finance settlement 6/11/19 - Lodged with Council for approval 5/12/19 - Council approval received 17/1219 - Block cut and fill 18/12/19 - Piers laid and HSTP installed 23/12/19 - 5/1/20 Christmas/New year closure 8/1/20 - Plumbing installed 10/1/20 - Slab boxed ready to pour 13/1/20 - Slab poured 15/1/20 - Frame install started and bath delivered hahaha seemed random but I am guessing it is too frame it into the wall 21/1/20 - Roof trusses started (we've had some bad weather check out the pics in the thread 😂) 29/1/20 - Gutters and fascias installed 30/1/20 - Windows, front door, sliding doors, insulation, roof sheets, valleys and other bits delivered. Annoyed because we were told 10 business days but council and the builder and it took 21 days because Council tried to say they sent in an incomplete application! They told us one date and did it 3 days later! Lucky we visited daily otherwise we would have missed it!
