Browse Forums Building A New House Re: New build with Hallbury homes 25Jul 25, 2019 10:24 pm [quote="storewallAU":2ocw03fz]There is plenty of talk about site managers in this forum. I did some work with L37 (previous job) and they had all site vehicles installed with GPS tracking to monitor the number of visits to each work site and how long they stayed on site. Idea being that sites given more attention where completed on time and with less issues. Not every site mgr met the criteria each month.[/quote:2ocw03fz] Haha Re: New build with Hallbury homes 26Dec 12, 2019 11:26 pm I feel Sorry for you! Hallbury are the worst to deal with! Get a private inspection done at each stage! Their work is awful. rogklee Personally the biggest reason we went with hallbury was budget and being able to work with the land. The bigger volume builds would just cut and fill. They wouldn't touch sloping blocks. Sticking with a certain plan and amending it was what we did to be more price savy. We also did a lot if things post build. We needed to be very aware of all stages. Always something going wrong or missed. I think that's just how volume builds work. If you can afford it. Custom builder. These guys tried but lacked attention to detail which ends up showing in the end. They try to be lux but they aren't no l37 or comdain homes. Re: New build with Hallbury homes 27Dec 12, 2019 11:36 pm Get a building inspection done- they don’t build homes well. Our bathroom water proofing was down properly and it’s cost thousands to rectify. Awful builders. The house is falling a part! It’s a lemon! rogklee Hey guys I've moved in. I have a different building supervisor. He is pretty good but it's tough for them too. Look to be honest. These guys say they build high end homes but in reality are doing high end looks with the lowest grade materials possible. I've been in for 2 months and still having people round fixing defects. I cringe every time I find a new one as it can be a bit of a battle to get anything rectified. I would advise you double check everything. We found some of our windows weren't the right type of glass and lots of other things too. Good luck. Happy to speak via primate message if you need anything. Getting landscaping done now.... another pain in the bum. Hi there! Putting the feelers out there for those who have (or almost) built with Arli homes! Interested in your experiences who've built from their stock home designs… 0 23502 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17628 3 48408 |
