Hi all,
Can anybody advise if we could move in the new house before driveway construction? Any problems for the removalists?
Thanks in advance.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Move in new house before driveway construction 4Oct 17, 2018 12:24 pm If movers or anyone else will be moving-in household items, then is there any access (main door, alfresco etc) from where the items can be moved into the house WITHOUT requiring to use the driveway? Furniture move-in via garage is not the best way as garage internal door to your house may not be wide enough and also the angle of entry may not be suitable. If your question is only about occupying the premises then as long as you have Interim OC, you are good to go. Re: Move in new house before driveway construction 5Aug 13, 2021 6:57 pm It shouldn't be a problem as long as your actions while moving in the new house don't interfere with the constructions workers. I personally moved from house to house a lot of times in just one city, and some of those houses had driveways that were under construction or were under maintenance, so from your POV there could've been complications regarding moving in the new house, but fortunately for me, For my second house I had excellent movers that gave little to no trouble to those workers and funnily enough, most of the time they even helped them carry something, like a bag of cement. I hired them to carry my stuff ever since But returning to the original topic, you needn't worry too much about them if you're keeping to yourself and doing your own thing. Just keep in mind that they are working and do your best in moving in to your new house as quick as possible and not disturb any of their work! 3 6413 I have a home gym at home. It weights 150KG including the weight stack. I'm a big boy, around 150KG myself. I was thinking about moving it up stairs to the second… 0 6311 you need to make an application to your local council for this as they are the approval authority for driveways cheers Simeon 1 7098 |
