Problem 1: They laid our bricks with patches of darker bricks which ended up bad. See attached photo. And site supervisor won't agree that is it dead and he told me it is pretty normal which I don't bite. They laid the turf first week of September and they did not water it almost two weeks. On our first and second preliminary extension, the exposed aggregate was costed in. When the site supervisor presented the third preliminary extension and up to the last revision, the driveway was suddenly slipped out and no record of removing it which we did not ask to be removed. It doesn't make sense as you are building a new home but without a driveway? It doesn't make sense. To cut the story short, we ended up paying a brand new house with treated bricks that don't match the original bricks (especially when wet and looks ugly) and no driveway. Do you think this is fair? What would you do if you experience this kind of service? Oh my god did you have a private inspector to check the brick work out they have taken them from different bunches it's there fault. My bricks were all over the place I had different colours , different size bricks, chipped bricks yours is not acceptable, my builder accepted liability and is replacing most of my bricks and also have you got copies of your first planning permit for your driveway, check it out, to see if its included, also as far as the turf goes that's unacceptable as well dont accept your house until alls fixed the builder is shafting you also read the the reponsibilitys of the builder in your HIA contract they are suppose to supply you a home without faults I'm glad I never had dixon homes you need a good building inspector I got one now all my problems on my house are getting fixed and I had a lot of big issues my handover has been delayed because of this hope this helps you sending photos of my brick work also write a review on google maps they will soon come to the party As you can see my bricks have been replaced they terminated the brickies that did this to my home I have new brickies fixing up all there stuff ups but dont accept this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hi Kathy.. you have a good builder, not like DIXON Homes. When I found this kind of workmanship 14th of May, I immediately rang and emailed my site supervisor but his response was "don't stress yet. I don't like it either but not stressing yet mate". And I asked how they going to fix that. SS said NAWKAW will treat/stain them and you wouldn't see any difference. I told them, if they can't give me lifetime warranty of the stain, they have to pull it down and replace it. NAWKAW stained it 26th of July and gave me 25 years warranty. Clearly, they don't give a f*ck about what I have said. After staining it, this is how it looks like. Every time the original bricks get wet, the treated bricks color stays the same. And it looks very ugly. Did you get a resolution to your brick problem? Did they provide you with any references or site supervisor details prior to signing the contract? Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74700 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
