Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Would you share your house budget with a builder 8Oct 15, 2018 9:06 am Rami_m It seems like the first thing coming out of a builders mouth when we talk to them is what is your budget. Bit worried they would take me for a ride if I shared actual figures Thoughts? Rami My 2 cents. I think it is critical that you share your budget so they can design to it. In fairness they don't know if you have $500k or $1.5million so when you are doing a custom build its important to let them know so they don't go overboard with design elements and finishes, other wise you will risk wasting your time and theirs. Also when we were doing ours and it came in $30k over budget, we were able to sit with them and redesign items that werent needed to reduce costs. cheers S Simeon McGovern Affordable Custom Homes, We design and build to your budget Ashington Homes www.ashingtonhomes.com.au Thanks mate.
