I'm building a new house with Simonds in VIC Broadford. My builder advised that I'll need to apply for and obtain a BMO planning permit before they can move forward with the building permit. I've checked the planning maps for overlays and found that my block comes under BMO with no schedule number attached to it.
Has anyone had experience building a house which requires a BMO permit? Can I make the application on my own or do I have to engage a Bushfire consultant?
