Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Surface Drainage Defect / Construction Lawyer 21Nov 02, 2018 6:35 am As the retaining wall in this situation is supposed to be a performance solution, does anyone know if the builder is required to provide plans / documents for the construction of it. I may be wrong but Section 26 of the Domestic Building Act states that the Builder must supply copies of relevant reports etc for work being carried out for the building owner. At this stage they will not provide documentation, as it is not on our property. I was under the understanding that as they are specifiying it as a rectification/performance solution for the defect on our property, they would need to provide the documentation.
