Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First time build - plan presentation prep 5Oct 09, 2018 1:52 am At the plan presentation they'll also ask about the external doors you want (and also the bath for some reason) and more importantly windows. So if you want bigger windows, changed to/from fixed, sliding, awning etc, raised head heights, frosted/clear. Understand the window codes. It looks like you've set down all the wet areas, so thats good. Think about additional taps, or moving the gas point. Also think about sound proofing, anticon blanket if applicable. etc Make sure everything in the tender and variations is on the plan, ie: ceiling height, cornice detail, tiling, recessed doors That the setbacks are correct. They will pick a point on the plans and then work around every item, so make sure you know what they mean or ask at the time. Don't assume the plans are the same as the display home, for example windows might be bigger on the display home etc. Take your own notes of changes, its a long meeting and you go over a lot of things so it can be hard to keep up.
