Hi Exodus, Haha yes that's true love modifications 🤣 How are you? How do you find the home after moving in? Is there any tip for me to look at during construction phase? Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 50Feb 19, 2019 6:56 am Hi MrsAJ, When they install the windows make sure they do not remove the protective film/plastic on the glass and frames. When they start doing brickwork and eventually interior painting, you will get splatters of mortar and paint on the glass and frames. The splatters are annoying to remove especially the tiny ones. They become a problem when you are tinting your glass windows. If you are using steel frames, put noggings anywhere you think you will be hanging heavy things on the wall, TV, floating shelves, speakers, extra storage, etc. Cheers, Patrick It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies. I will surely make a note and tell them about it. Yes we are using steel frames. If we ask the supervisor to add extra noggings will he do it?? Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 53Feb 27, 2019 10:28 am Finally got pictures from my hubby. I really dono why but now I feel the house looks so small to what we imagined. I think some miscalculations from our side 🤔 Hopefully we don't stuck between the walls while walking through the hallway🤞🤣 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 54Feb 27, 2019 1:35 pm MrsAJ Exodus Hi MrsAJ, When they install the windows make sure they do not remove the protective film/plastic on the glass and frames. Proverbs 24:3-4 Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 57Mar 12, 2019 5:38 pm Hi All, Things are moving very slow and there was one week with nothing been done. They have put the roof, gutter and fascia. Windows and stacker doors have come. Never realised monument window frame is this dark and fingers crossed that it blends to some extent with all colours and not look yucky 🙈🤞 Today they called my hubby to discuss regarding data point and was advised to have the data point lower on living hall below the TV points. Tomorrow there is a meeting with electrician and SS. Does anyone know after frames when is the best time for next inspection? We are confused whether to have it now or little later. Noggings not yet done. We told them long ago and accepted to pay extra still no progress. 😕 Any other suggestions or tips during this stage to look out for will b very helpful.
