Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 101May 01, 2019 12:23 pm So here we are after all these public holidays..... Painting internal completed. Electricals started. For some reason there is still a delay on our stone bench tops for past 3weeks 🤷♀️ We are liking our internal house colour. Not confident with our outside rendering colour as we feel it is not matching what they showed us in palette n it doesnt match our bricks. Hope our side fence covers that up 🤞😜 Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 109May 03, 2019 10:00 am I think a dark table with light chairs would look nice with the dark pendant and dark door frames. But depends if you are looking for a darker look with furniture or not. But depends if you are looking for a darker look with furniture or not. Hey thanks for your suggestion. I was thinking of the same a dark table with light creamish chairs and still not sure whether it is wise to have carpet underneath dining table or not with a toddler around. Time to look out for specials 😊 Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 111May 05, 2019 9:04 pm Yeah a nice rug under the dining table, particularly with a toddler would be a recipe for heartbreak I think! Is that really where you're up to, floors done, electrical fit off complete? Wow you must be getting close to finishing.. Is that really where you're up to, floors done, electrical fit off complete? Wow you must be getting close to finishing.. Hey thanks Mate. For now we have postponed the purchase of dining table and will have existing one for now. Hubby said let's get Pax wardrobe and couch first. He wanna relax and chill on his new couch than sit on new dining chairs 😉 Our house was suppose to be completed by June 1st week but unfortunately the stone bench tops are delayed due to new government standards and rules. It's been 3 weeks we are waiting for it and yesterday our SS told its gonna take more 3weeks for the benchtops to arrive. Due to this our kitchen splash back, electrical Fitouts in kitchen, vanity mirrors etc etc all are on hold.🙁 Thought we will be able to move in before hubby birthday but seems like that's not gonna happen 🤷♀️ Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 113May 17, 2019 6:22 am Here we are... Bench tops still not available but they have given us our walk through date and final invoice. Supervisor says, it is final walkthrough but that doesn't mean it is fully completed 😡 Private Inspector says, they cannot do the final inspection without the completion notice. Once the walk through is over within 10days we need to pay the final payment. Really??? Is that what you expect when you say "House is not completed".🤦♀️ Current issues : 1. Entry door and vertical slats in study are not matching the colour we chose in selection. 2. Stacker door with gap and not straight. 3. Stone bench tops are not available yet. 4. Front rendering damaged. 5. They made a weird hole on the porch area. 6. Down pipe damaged. 7. Kitchen spashback pending due to benchtop. 8. Vanities not been put due to benchtop. 9. Cleaning not done. 10. Adjustable shelves not done yet. God know what more left ☹ Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 114May 17, 2019 6:23 am Our Supervisor is not attending our calls and not replying for emails either. We are so stressed as how they are going to finish all these in 5days?? Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 115May 17, 2019 7:29 am All the best with the last building jobs, hope all goes smoothly for u. House looks amazing. We r building with coral right now too. I find the whole progress payments part very bizarre, sometimes it feels like the left hand doesn't talk to the right! But hopefully all works out in the end , to be done and dusted and u get to enjoy ur beautiful home. Thanks and Good Luck with your build 😊 Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 118May 22, 2019 6:38 pm Hi All, Today morning when we went to supply sensor for garage we noticed few major issues. 1. Kitchen sink wasn't undermount. 2. Splashback tiles on pantry and kitchen laying wrong. Rectified tiling miserable and laid horizontally. 3. Master bedroom lock they forgot. More issues also noticed....... 😭😭😭😔😔 Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 119May 22, 2019 7:09 pm Issues continue.... 4. Ensuite rectified tile 600x600 full of scratches. 5. Dining stacker door still crooked and not proper. It closes though but will it lock with key I doubt. 6.We paid extra for untempered water whereas I dont notice boiling hot water in kitchen and laundry. 7. Under study bench not proper. Ss has already marked in blue tape. 8. Paint totally white patch paint in dining. Ugly. So sorry to hear all the defects and issues. Hopefully they will sort it out soon before the handover. Really getting us nervous now, we are just getting in to tile selection stage. Did you get a private inspector for all the stages. Even we are thinking about the same. Srijit Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14612 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4577 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 77409 |
