We must have been lucky because the wet area tiles aren't on your list any more. We also got the Ice Snow for the benchtops. It looks great. We have been in our house for 2 months at Newport. That's right Industry tiles are no more and we wanted to do Industry for walls as feature but it's no more and worst thing was they didnt give us the correct list. Thanks. We went to our tile appointment and came out with different wall tiles to what we thought we wanted. It's such a confusing process. It's just great when it see it all come together at the end. We ended up with glass splash back in the kitchen. Re: Manhattan 21 heavily modified - Coral Homes Sunshine Coa 25Nov 03, 2018 11:03 am Hi All,
Back again after being so damn busy for the past few weeks with all appointments. Now that we have completed everything and waiting for quotes to come back thought I will update about how we went and what we chose. To be frank still not sure about our selections and health is not 100% as well. 1st Appointment - National Tiles (Still waiting for final quote as they had to change Kitchen window size which I will tell why when I come to Kitchen Tiles) Main Floors - Forest Natural 300x600 Edge Pressed. (1/3 offset laying. Cost for laying in wet area = $105 and Main floor = $475) Grout - Standard Silver ( We did upgrade the grout initially and it came back as $636 and we jumped to standard) (We wanted timber look tile and this was standard in National tiles so we went to Nationals tiles. Beaumont had Heartwood which is actually Gold range and we weren't sure how much it would cost so didn't wanna risk and waste time by going there). Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom, Laundry and Powder Room - Forest Natural for floors. (Also for front of the house 1 pier in Horizontal lay) Took the suggestion from one of the forum member and we decided to take the main floor flow to these 3 places as well. Thanks for the suggestion Bathroom we are planning to do the Forest Natural Tile from one side of the shower to the Bath podium top (hub). Here comes the confusion our floor is brickbond lay or 1/3 offset whatever they call it and any suggestions on laying for the bath and shower wall???? Straight pattern or Brickbond as in Floor??? trying to get pictures but not getting one. Rest of the walls in bathroom - White Gloss Edge Pressed 300X600 Vertical lay. Laundry Splash Back - White Gloss Edge Pressed 300X600 Vertical lay. Powder Room - Just below mirror there is a small space so same as Laundry but Horizontal Lay. Ensuite: Cuccaro Marfil 600X600 Edge Pressed (upgrade) - One side of the shower Niche side to the floors. It looks so nice directly than in photo. Costing to tile till ceiling = $606 Grout Upgrade (No.137) = 4*5kgs = $159 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Rest of the walls - Light Cream Gloss 400X250 as they did not have the same in 300X600. Horizontal Lay. Grout - Standard White. Outdoors - Regina Grey External 450X450 with Standard Grey grout. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen and Butlers Pantry - Initially chose Carrara white shine 450X450 standard tile but during electrical to add powerpoint we had to reduce the Window Splash back which means more space to tile. Waiting for the quote for Sand Stone White Marble Decor 300X600 Rectified. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Any suggestions should we do Sand Stone White Decor or Carrara White Shine in both or have two different tiles for Pantry and Kitchen to reduce cost??? Which will be nice? Will Update all Tiles in a single photo in my next post. Thanks heaps for everyone who helped us with so many information, tips and suggestions. Thank you Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13781 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4358 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74719 |
