Almost everyone gets ripped off for rock excavation either the way it is measured and calculated or if indeed it is classified as excavation in rock. Get someone who knows and it will cost you hundreds or skip it and it will cost you thousands or perhaps tens of thousands.

In my coral contract for a knock down, site costs were fixed at contract. The only exception was that they wanted to do another soil test post excavation. No variation to cost.
What stage are you up to with them ?

I hope so to... they found so much rock on my block, more where they installed the Taylex tank. But our ss said it’s only if they have to use explosives. I hope it all goes well not long till your start date 😁😁
