Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 06, 2018 12:06 pm Sorry if this has already been posted. We are looking at the possibility of building 2 townhouses on our land using using a light steel frame house kit imported from China. Does anyone have any experience of doing this? Would love to hear how it worked out! They would be flat packed so you would need to find someone who would assemble them and erect. Might end up only saving 5k. It’s not hard to build to Australian standards, but mistakes happen and I would hate to have to deal with that over the phone. You can not hang anything on steel frames. very frustrating 8 8023 I had couple of quotations from pre-covid times, I am quite sure they are more expensive now plus with current USD rate and shipping costs it makes them really unaffordable. 6 24315 |
