The land & building contract is separated and the land just registered on July. The builder arrange a survey and now they send me an email that there is an additional 14K due to the steep fall over the building area. ‘When we prepared our tender, we were not advised by the land developer of the severity of the fall. Accordingly, the plans need to be amended in order to take into account the slope of the land. We will need to provide approximately 15 square meters of deepened edge beams (DEB) at a cost to you of $10,425.00 and we will need to provide steps in the slab at a cost to you of $4,862.00’ Is this normal?
