Good to see someone building with Coral in Sydney area. I have been after some experience with Coralhomes in Sydney area. Any idea why it took so long for the building to start? Land registration? I have been after some experience with Coralhomes in Sydney area. Any idea why it took so long for the building to start? Land registration? Hi s-X-s ... we're also building with Coral in SW Sydney, we signed contract in Dec 2015 to secure a $15K FHOG and it took 18 months for land to register lol, as it goes in Sydney... our experience with Coral sales were great but not so much with the build... they are very short staffed in Sydney and after 6 months (building start date was 23 August 2017) and a number of issues (you can read my posts in my profile), they've now sent a supervisor from QLD to correct things and ensure completion happens as per contract, so we're hopefully now only around 6-8 weeks to completion... I think they're now rushing to do it as they've stuffed the brick work so could not ask us for External Lining progress payment yet (which is the largest at 30% of the total price, includes brickwork, gyprock, insulation, plumbing etc.) and will have to give us that one together with next progress payment which is Fixing (tiling, painting, doors installation, window architraves etc.). Have you decided on your builder yet and where are you up to in the process? Re: Building with Coral Homes - Monterey 20 (Sydney) 4Sep 12, 2018 1:11 am Hi! My partner and I are looking at building this exact house. I am wondering if you could give me the final price, including the site costs. Also, are there any 'hidden' costs? My parents built with Masterton and went over their budget by a lot due to many costs involved in their process. Thank you. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 7214 No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 3938 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 47445 |
