Hi Stanus, I replied but haven't upload our plans as yet, will upload in the few day. What stage is your building ? Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Doulton 57 Classique 6Sep 06, 2018 9:54 am Great Charlotte We seem to be building the house very similar to each other. I am not using Hebel but brick as I am trying to match the the exact facade of the display. And having brick front you cannot have hebel side and rear.Metricon are waiting for a overhead line permit before they give me a site start. I would have thought they would have been proactive and got it months ago. But have said the permit will come in any day now. Fingers crossed! The ordering which should take three weeks has taken 7 weeks. Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Doulton 57 Classique 12Sep 07, 2018 9:17 pm Charlotte.h I have had a look at your plans and can say your house and mine are very similar. Firstly I noticed that your plans say Signature at the bottom of the plans sheet. Every other plan apart from the display I have seen has said Designer. Just an interesting note. Metricon seem to randomise what is signature/designer in the Doulton. One thing you might want to consider. Put an in wall sliding door in the walk in pantry. That way you gain some space in the pantry. Also noticed you do not have the curve at the staircase. Is that correct? I have raised that question as they advertising that Signature but when price they advising Designer. OMG the sliding door in the walk in pantry, thanks for pick that up, I just check my history that we did requested for the sliding door but the draftman forgot ( I hated to deal with the admin, keep double checking their work). Our stair have got curved, exactly like the display, including the balustrade. We have our overline permit, pushed to handover construction team on Monday and check with CSC who advised we have received them. Do you plan to use private inspector for your house ? Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Doulton 57 Classique 14Sep 08, 2018 9:09 am Every design for the Doulton inc. Mine says designer. Only the display plans which I have say Signature. And yours of course. Just a weird thing from Metricon. There seems to be some crossover between what is one brand and the other. If you want have a look at my thread. Link below in Sig. I have my plans 2-3 pages in. Have a look over the stairs. There is a curve replicating the display to the left of the stairs landing. It is one design that is not shown in your plans. I have already contacted a couple of inspection companies and have chosen one. I have been booked into their system and just need to advise them when I need them to come and do the inspection. Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Doulton 57 Classique 15Sep 08, 2018 10:03 am That is weird about the design/signature. I have cross over checking with the display and our we definitely have the curved staircase. Including quote price from the staircase at the time of our selection. I know the curved it's didn't show on the ground floor but it's on the first floor. Do you mind if I ask what do they charge to inspect the house? Do they breakdown the cost per stage of inspection ? Or just one price ? Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Doulton 57 Classique 16Sep 08, 2018 12:40 pm stanus Charlotte.h I can’t believe how long you have to wait for the overhead line permit. Or just one price ? After I signed my contract. Not long after Metricon changed it to signature. When they built the display the sign at the front said signature. I asked my consultant. And she said that was strange. Because in the new Metricon book they still had it as designer. Very strange. Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Doulton 57 Classique 20Sep 08, 2018 10:29 pm Too me I reckon it suits to be a signature. It’s too fancy too be a designer.
