Browse Forums Building A New House Tender Process - What you wish you had done 2Aug 01, 2018 10:40 am habiburg Similar to the "Things you forgot" thread, but specifically for the tender. What do you wish you had asked? What do you wish you had priced at that point? What would you have done differently? What would I do different...well, aside from from ‘not signing’(!!! ,sorry... just don’t build with Coral Homes everyone!), I would strongly suggest that you get everything that needs to be amended in the tender and on the floor plans, amended at this stage. I don’t believe I’m alone in saying my sales consultant kept insisting we leave any outstanding issues/errors for contract stage, to avoid ‘getting back in the queue’... three tenders and a contract later , we had issue after issue during construction because some of the errors weren’t ever fixed. Although it might delay you a few weeks ensure everything is correct before you go to contract stage. Reading Seek confirms the frequently commission only nature of the Sales Consultant job in the project home industry coupled with advertisers' claims of high annual on track earnings. Somersoft, a few years back, were talking of 2.5% to 3% commissions being found on sales in the area. Leaves me really uneasy with the whole process and the style and focus of advice I am likely to encounter if I continue with my thoughts of actually building a new home. That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I do enjoy watching that tik tok inspector from Victoria but he does go a little… 12 81883 I apologise for any confusion, but your understanding is correct. We approached our situation differently based on advice from… 11 53200 Thanks very much! And would the landscaper/contractor generally involve the engineer or is that something the client would do?
