Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 30, 2018 12:32 pm Hi all, I'm just looking for other soon-to-be homeowners of this estate Rivendell Heights. Just want to share progress of the estate etc. Just a background of our lot. Our land was initially planned to be settled early this year (bought Nov 2016) but has been moved to March 2019. Have already signed with a buiilder, Benley. Though not at tender stage yet as we have been postponing it multiple times due to the land delay, and even considered dropping this land and just buy already built house (new or old). We just didn't have the eagerness to do all the plans with the land settlement being pushed further. The developers doesn't have much to say lately as well, pointing it all to council delays. Our neighbouring estates (Regent Views, and Mernda On The Park) already got lots of land released. Not sure if this is a fair comparison, but we shopped around these 3 estates at the same time and chose Rivendell over the 2. Anyway, I just thought that we, future neighbours, could come together and share our thoughts and feelings, and maybe put pressure on the developer (slim chance? worth shot)? There is an FB group for the residents that was created, maybe we can mingle there TIA Re: Anyone building in Rivendell Heights Mernda? 3Feb 04, 2019 11:02 am Behlvipul Hey guys ! Cheers Vipul Stage 1 is already titled it seems, just recently, so getting there... ours at stage 4 might be around june. What stage u at? Have u considered split level? If so try talking with Bentley or maybe Arden, i forgot if they did split level. I’m sure there are more builders who specialize in very sloping land, but just costly thats for sure. Ours is at ~1.1m, site cost estimate at 35k We like the location in general, and love the views from where our land is situated. Building Standards; Getting It Right! We bought a house in 2015 advertised as a 7/2/2, 4br up, 3br down (7br), and to date, it’s a great house. However, we’ve just had it valued and it’s come in as a… 0 11961 Wish you all the best.
