Clothesline installed.. new pics 2/8 45Feb 09, 2009 9:19 pm wakeboardandy My site supervisor called me today.. seemed like a nice bloke... told me drainage is booked for this thursday (I assume that is all the pipe stuff they put in before the slab). Slab is due for next week.. so hopefully everything goes to plan. With your cut and fill, "drainage" is probably agricultural drains being installed around the front of your house so that if there's a whole bunch of rain, you don't get a river coming in yout front door. They'll also put in pipes in preparation for the downpipes to head to the storm water. At least, that's our experience! Everything I know, I learned from SBS. Congratulations on the site start. I will be watching your thread with great interest so keep us up to date on progress and photos. Wish you all the best on your building journey. Re: WBA's House.. Clothesline installed.. new pics 2/8 47Feb 14, 2009 4:06 pm I went past our block on Thu to see if the drainage was complete as per what our site supervisor said.. and yes it was, and also a meter box and conduit for Telstra Optic Fibre.... so hopefully a slab by the time we get back from holidays (currently in batemans bay, but I can still be on homeone thanks to my Telstra Next G card!! ).

The house two doors down had the drainage done at the same time and has had nothing done to it since. So I am very happy with the pace so far.. Let's just hope they can keep it up! http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP3224.jpg My Son sitting in our Theatre room! http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP3229.jpg Looking at North side of house... http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP3235.jpg Looking at south side of house... http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP3237.jpg reply 53Feb 22, 2009 6:38 pm WOW! We saw your place "in the flesh" on Friday night. It's kind of hard to miss at the moment! Can't believe how quick they are going....oh, and your DS is just beautiful! Re: WBA's House.. Clothesline installed.. new pics 2/8 58Feb 22, 2009 10:07 pm I thought my build was going at lightning speed, but this is incredible! Congrats WBA! Hopefully mine will look like that by the end of this week (although pine, not steel). Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Hope they keep up the pace for you. Just out of interest and complete ignorance as to where you are building but what motivated you to build in steel?
