Shame about the vanity drawers, you'll probably have to have them shaped to fit around the plumbing. Hamptons inspired architect design with attached granny flat 203Mar 13, 2020 2:04 pm jsmi With the cupboard at the bottom and section in between the sinks, looks like you’ve got plenty of storage space there? Yes, those drawers are fine for large items like toilet paper or cleaning things, but they are very deep and unsuitable for smaller things (cosmetics, grooming). The plan from the very beginning was to not have anything cluttering the vanity top, so they were supposed to go into the upper, shallower drawers. The lower section in between the sinks is for two pull out bins. Hamptons inspired architect design with attached granny flat 204Mar 16, 2020 1:59 pm Still not much happening, even landscaping has come to standstill with the rain. And speaking of landscaping, I was excited to receive my online order for a solar cone composter. This will allow us to compost meat, bones, dairy, pet waste. Just have to get the landscaper to dig it in for me. Pics of a few fixtures that are waiting to be installed... I’m also starting to get quotes for window coverings. Hamptons inspired architect design with attached granny flat 205Mar 18, 2020 1:14 pm Site was a hive of activity today! I went to meet someone to get a quote on window coverings, and was just in time to see the kitchen caesarstone benchtops and QuantumSix splashback installed. The splashback was nerve wracking to watch, as it’s a huge porcelain sheet but only 6mm thick. But very happy with it, especially since I’d selected it purely based on photos online! Re: Hamptons inspired architect design with attached granny 210Apr 09, 2020 2:31 pm The pool is finished! Tiling around the coping still to be done. The builder plans on getting the crimsafe bifold door in first before the surrounding tiles go down. The shape of the pool and travertine pavers around it reminds me of a Roman Bath.
