Building A New House

Steel was a bit delayed due to riggers running behind on a school project. But they started last Friday and today we arrived on site to see A Very Big Crane. Neighbour’s 2yo grandson was watching and very excited.
Carpenters scheduled to start on frames in the next couple of days.
On a separate note, Sydney Water has agreed to compensate us for the debacle over the non-existent sewer pipe. Such a relief, as it is a significant amount!

Steel is pretty much complete, and frames started. So excited to see the shapes of the house. The three steel triangles are two of the gable windows (we have a few of them!) and the tallest is the dormer window above the pool.

Have been buying things for the house as they go on sale! So far,
Kitchen island pendants x 3. Got these from the Laura Ashley closing down sales. RRP $300 each, got all three for $290!

Hi, we are planning our build and would like to incorporate an attached (under the same roof) granny flat to rent out in the short term and house family in down the track…

I'm sketching out a few rough plans before I go to an architect. I've seen some designs where people put the European-style cupboard laundries in the bathrooms. I'm okay…
