Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Contract signing tips and traps 6Jul 19, 2018 4:42 pm If you want a landscape that is non AS2870 compliant (i.e. 900mm concrete all around, lawn, shrubs and small trees in that order), give it to your builder before you sign and have their engineers customise the slab to take into consideration of tree effects. Then put that in your contract. Your contract does not cover slab design, only performance level so if you have a special slab due to landscape/existing vegetation, you may want to include engineering drawings for slab as part of the contract so they can't change it half way through. Been in a similar position and we decided to let the builder go. Some of the PSA money goes to engineering so we at least got those documents and they actually refunded us… 2 4551 You talk about deletions, are they variations or PS and PC adjustments? pleas list them 1 12007 Just be careful with building stability during construction, that is when the structure may be weakened, refer to your engineering drawings for stability methodology. 1 6191 |
