Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 3Sep 09, 2018 5:14 pm Hey guys I am currently renting a 4 bed home built by JKW Constructions - Moved into it as a brand new home 2 years ago and it is one of the best places I have lived in. Stacks of small inclusions over and above the norm that make this a really enjoyable home such as recessed shelves in the bathrooms, spacious living areas, lots of built in storage including in the garage, central air throughout that just works flawlessly which ever zone you set it to, and all the joints are square throughout. A nice covered outdoor area out back with power points and tv antenna points fitted to the wall should we want a TV outside are more of the inclusions that I just haven't seen before. The tiling was superb and the kitchen fit-out is just a dream. Had an operator error with the oven when we first moved in and they came over that night to walk us through it, they were really great. All the cupboards and doors line up perfectly and the house continues to work perfectly a couple years in. I'm definitely keen to use them come my next build, but happy to stay here for now since I'm really happy in this place. Nice spacious rooms throughout including theater, bathrooms and all bedrooms... I wouldn't have trouble putting a double with bedsides in every room if I wanted to. A+ from me. Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 4Sep 17, 2018 12:18 pm Glad I came across this as I was looking for info on the weekend as I'm considering building with them. I was apprehensive because I couldn't find a lot of feedback or reviews online but checked on the qld buidling & construction commission website and did some research and saw that Andrew Williams who is the builder does not have a building licence as he lost it through the previous company he operated called Tailor made constructions. Looks like he has then set up JKW constructions as a new business and is now operating under a different builders licence. I need to look into it further as they do have grate inclusions but i am certainly hesitant based on this info. The review above seemed promising but re-reading it looks like a review from JKW constructions....can't imagine a renter going into so much detail even commenting on the tiling? Hmmmm. Sus. The guy claims to be renting but then ends on saying he will use them for the next build? If anyone has any REAL feedback on building with them it would be great to know. cheers. Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 5Sep 17, 2018 12:34 pm Hey Graeme Interesting info you came up with about the licensing ... I would not have thought to check that out. I can assure you though that my comments are genuine, and happy to provide some pics of the place I’m in if anyone is interested, or even show you through if your in my area and are that keen. I’m in South Ripley, 10 min up the road from Springfield. I lost my last house in a divorce.... that’s why I’m renting for now and planning my next build. It’s a pity a detailed post comes across sus to some, but I’m sincerely impressed by this house for a rental and just thought I’d share. Cheers. Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 6Sep 17, 2018 12:41 pm G'day Jake, Thanks for writing back. My apologies I take my comments back in that case. your review was so detailed it made me suspicious but you're right, I too think they have excellent inclusions but I researched two other builders that I'm considering through QBCC also because one of them is another ''no name'' and the other was GJ Gardener, so I investigated them all and came across this rabbits burrow with the builder of JKW. its a shame because they were my preference but i appreciate you confirming that the level of finishes because all those little things matter, i remember a renter never having enough storage which used to drive me crazy. Thanks Jake, all the best. Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 8Sep 17, 2018 1:48 pm Thankyou Graeme and Jake. I too have to confess I thought jake's feedback sounded like a sales spiel . Wil, definitely make more enquiries before making a decision....feeling very hesitant about them now Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 10Oct 09, 2018 5:43 pm Hi my name is Lianne Williams I am the director of JKW Constructions. I just came across the above comments and would love to address any concerns that you may have. Hi Jake, Thanks for your kind comments above. Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 12Nov 15, 2018 11:29 am Hey. I've just signed a contract with JKW! Here's the facts. They build such quality high end homes with the high end products etc on every build. Therefore no other builder can include even half of what jkw do standard at a competitive price what so ever. This is our second build but this is the one of a lifetime. I cant understand how I'm getting what I am at such a good price with the finishes that jkw have! I suggest you go through any other builders house display and it still won't compare to a jkw standard build (not display) The owner is amazing. Really easy to talk to and gets exactly what his clients want. He wants relationships for life. And if they deliver what I've seen from them, they will surely get that from us. We weren't going to build. I made first contact with Lance. I spoke to developers etc and everyone knew lance. Told me to trust him. I cant trust anyone. But once I met Lance I knew someone was in my corner, on my team!!! I had to hear what he had to say!Lance went above and beyond. Calling around to everyone landing me the block of a lifetime! I'm a stress head. Lance held my hand during the entire process getting it all perfect! He didn't waver on anything I wanted. I added a bit of stuff. Ohhhhh this my faveeeeee bit, the costing. Such real pricing!!! You will see. I'll keep everyone informed during the build but i am that confident in JKW, Andrew and Lance, I'll leave you with this, if anyone has built before you will love this. They keep telling me to enjoy the process. No other builder has ever to date said that!!! Because building really isn't in any way enjoyable. But this has been and I feel will be. "Enjoy it" they say lol. That shows their confidence in building my dream. Good luck everyone Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 13Jan 26, 2019 6:50 pm Hey guys, I know this post is kinda old but I built with JKW - my build thread is in my signature if you want to check it out. We did have a few hiccups (mostly things that were out of JKW's control ie. broken sink turning up, stair manufacturer having machine failures and faulty cabinets being sent) and our build time was quite long (10 months) due to this but in about a month we will have been in our place for a year and are very happy. The quailty and inclusions are great and reasonably priced as well. We are looking to build again soon hopefully and will go with JKW again. Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 15Jan 26, 2019 8:43 pm They have a lot of builds around our area. So we looked into them, but kept getting the run around from Lance. So much real estate BS. Told us we have to settle for a smaller house for same price as other builders larger sizes. It does make you wonder when small builders all of a sudden have a lot of houses in a certain estate. We have decided to look elsewhere... This is so inaccurate it's funny. So I clicked on your name... Haha you work for another builder you imbibe and your advertising it on this same name 🤣🤣🤣 Lance is incredible and anyone working with him knows they are lucky. You have absolutely no idea. No wonder JKW are taking contracts from you other builders left rite and centre. I met with every builder you all suck compared. Good try but as you can see JKW are so above their clients IE me will back them to the end. Thanks for the laugh on this Sunday morning however it was a beauty😜 Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 17Feb 03, 2019 11:02 am Jandak Mk88 Just wondering f your build with JKW has started yet and if so how is it going? Be great if you could ptrovide updates and feedback on the process Hello! Not yet slab down in around 4 weeks! Cant wait. And yes I'll be straight on here updating all the way! So you have no idea what you are talking about. I have looked at a lot of builders, before deciding who to choose. We looked at JKW & told our experience. You shouldn't be so blinded. Good luck with your over valued 200m2 house!! Re: Has anyone built with JKW Constructions in Brisbane? 19Feb 05, 2019 4:09 pm Mk88...so by my calculations you signed your contract with JKW early November and slab should be down in about 4 weeks ,early March.that is 4 months...seems to me to be quite a long time . Is thiz sort of timeframe normal? I also know a number of people who work for assorted builders but have chosen to build with different builders. Also it would depend on whether they do contract before or after colour selections. As this will slow the process from contract signing to site. 3 months is quite common. A month for estimating & drafting etc 4 weeks for building approval Normally site start is 2 weeks after BA. 3 4259 Hi All, we are starting to think of building with Masterpiece Builders in Victoria, has anyone had any feedback or experience with them 0 13603 Hi we are looking to talk to people who have built with them recently.
