After being a long time lurker on this site thought it was time to share. We have just been given a start date of the 31st of January. Excited to finally get underway. We went with designer inclusions but opted for a number of the luxury display home upgrades.
Facade - Designer Modifications we made: - swapped position of living and master bedroom - Extended the length of our garage in order to create some extra storage - Changed layout of ensuite - Added basin to stand alone toilet Will be completing driveway, alfresco decking and landscaping after handover. In addition to the standard electrical inclusions we added a $3000 allowance to our contract. We ended up spending $600 over our allowance. We also had 4 fans with lights included into our contract so used these as lighting for all bedrooms Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Tile selection Upgrades: ⁃ tile kitchen splash up behind rangehood ⁃ Arrange kitchen tiles in a brick bond pattern We did our tile selection with Beaumont’s. Was so happy to finally see something more tangible and to see how much backyard we would actually have: Very happy with how things are progressing. However was thinking we probably should have considered changing where the hot water cylinder is positioned as will be right near one of the bedroom windows. I wish I had opted for larger shower head. Oh well. Next time Yes, our site supervisor is great, has things moving seamlessly. Even at this stage there are things I wish I could go back and change too. I would love to put a stand alone basic in my WC, fingers crossed. We really wanted to add the basin so that people didn’t have to go to the main bathroom just to wash their hands. The addition of the basin and plumbing didn’t cost much but we did need to make the area bigger to accomodate the basin.
