Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Rawson Homes standard bricks & cladding 6Jul 14, 2018 3:29 am Hi luxbuild, Prior to tender we asked for the as displayed upgrade pricelists for each of the displays we liked. This allowed us to get a good idea of what the likely costs would be. We are building a Chifley 37MKII with LUX spec and Extras Extravaganza. Even still we have put in around $130k in upgrades, and that does not include the final internals upgrades and landscaping! One of the main reasons we decided to go with Rawson over another builder was that they said they were upfront in terms of costs. If you are after a standard spec house then there wouldn't be much difference between what you would be quoted at sales and what the 'final' price would be, subject to unforeseen site costs, council requirements etc. We have asked for lots of things to be priced as variations along the way so far so that we have as much information at hand to make informed decisions regarding upgrades. You can easily just tell them you aren't interested in something once you get the price back and they will delete it. Try to get as many of these at once as possible to avoid the $450 admin fee. Just started the Build process for Chifley 42 with Rawson homes, will keep you all posted with the Build progress. 0 1041 Any advice re whether to use Cladding or House Wrap (both with flashing) on a house internal woodern frame that has a "void area" (i.e. underneath upper story, noting… 0 24622 Standard uninsulated double brick has an R value of around 0.7.
