M3tricon use Austral and Boral for bricks depending on house. But they let you pick whatever you want out of those. Our house says Boral but we picked an Austral brick. When I was last at Studio 501 they did have others as well maybe Selkirk? (not sure was there for contract so didn't take too much notice). Roof tiles they use Bristile and something else. Sorry can't remember, but the roof tiles are the ones Boral supply and the ones Austral supply. But things change all the time...... Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. But Eager just finished his home, his is an M1 and he used an Austral brick (La Trobe from memory). Does that help? I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I like the Austral Zinc bricks, has anyone used those?

I know you said someone else but I checked some paperwork and Austral is standard for the M1 range. Boral or Bristile for roofing. Aussiedamo, Bel-Air is Austral as standard and the Zinc is category 6a with M3tricon so $$$$$ to upgrade. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: M3tricon - which company do they use for bricks and tiles 8Sep 06, 2008 10:41 pm Jo happy to hear from you anytime thanks for that I actually prefer Austral to Boral (well with PD anyway) so if they have similar standard bricks to PD access I will be happy Re: M3tricon - which company do they use for bricks and tiles 9Sep 06, 2008 10:44 pm Just don't take this as gospel because as you know things change all the time. Sometimes I think they change categories just for fun.
Our brick was category 1 when we picked it and is now category 3. It was brand new when we did our selections so I think they made a mistake! I had a quick chat with our SC on the weekend and she said if we wanted a Category 7 brick (she didn't know off the top of her head what Zinc was so just quoted a high one) it would cost about $5,000 for the whole house. Does that sound right? Damo Visit my blog: http://damosbitofblog.blogspot.com/ That sucks! Hope it all works out. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 13702 2 22920 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 7202 |
