Hi dear friends,
I'd like to ask about your experience.
Before my builder started to build, my CSA sent me an email and advised me to ensure grass is mowed and no rubbish on block.
I went to the site time to time and check if there were not much rubbish. The site was reasonably clean, there were very little bit of sticks and little rubbish, but I didn't know if this would be an issue.
A few weeks after that my CSA sent me a photo and advised that there will be an invoice for cleaning the site. I checked the photo and there were some sticks, so I thought it shouldn't cost more than $100.

2 days ago the invoice arrived and quite surprised me because it was about $900. And it says, site cleaning charge by removing mixed fill with another photo.

I feel like my builder is asking me to pay to remove not only the rubbish, but also the soil as well. Why they wouldn't clean the site first which will cost much less and charge only that? Why they did tell us earlier this is an issue, so we can clean it up ourselves.
Sorry it sounds like complaining, but this makes me really down. I feel the builder tries to find every way to charge us.
Thank you so much for your help. Hope you have a great weekend.
Regards,
Peter
