After much deliberation, we've chosen the Boston 38 from Coral Homes. We drove up to the Newport display to take a good walk around it, and also get colour ideas.
On Saturday we put our $1,000 deposit on a 600m2 block of land (20x30) (Gold Coast QLD), which will release in July, and likely be titled in September. It does have a service easement at the back, but our current block has that too, and it isn't an issue. The street is south, so back of block faces north.
We also had a preliminary chat with one of the new home consultants at Coral Homes to get an initial feel of big ticket pricing (all with rounding). They weren't from that area, as the actual consultant was away, so they were nice and took our details so she can get back to us and we'll arrange an appointment for her to get actual tender drawn up etc.
What we are thinking and told:
- Media room in lieu of living: $2,600
- Master to rear: $1,700
- Outdoor living 1.5m extension: $4,000
- Provisional site costs: $15,000
- Exposed aggregate driveway: $7,500
- Render to front and bag & paint sides: $8,000
There's plenty of other alterations to the plan we are considering, and once we get our initial list drawn up for costs I'll definitely post them up.
