Also interesting to see the extra pipe in the powder room to service the upstairs bathrooms Thank you. Yeah pre slab I had no idea what that extra pipe was. Then I worked it out after seeing the slab. Then I zoomed in on the plans and could see it in the wall from up stairs bathroom. 😁 Re: KDR - Rawson Chifley 42 mark ii in Newcastle. 86Dec 06, 2018 2:58 pm Do you have a frame yet? Those ladders always freaked me out. Lovely view from the top Cheers mate. Yes I’m not a hieghts person either and those metal things across the voids are a bit bouncy. 😩😁😁 Re: KDR - Rawson Chifley 42 mark ii in Newcastle. 91Dec 07, 2018 3:00 pm luxbuild Thats great to see.. and with the rain recently too! Is that the upgraded stair well ? 😂. Yes mate. We asked for the display stair case but we got a ladder. I have to say the stain on it is not what we hoped. 😂😂 Re: KDR - Rawson Chifley 42 mark ii in Newcastle. 94Jan 15, 2019 9:16 pm Hi mate.. yeah have a few but with the scaffolding up it’s hard to get good ones. The progress from these pics, which are pre scaffolding, is they have reached the top of the 2nd floor on one side and roughly the bottom floor with the rest. They fed us some 💩 about them working over Xmas doing the bricks but they didn’t appear. Either way it’s much better than the admin phase which sucked for us. Our SS couldn’t give us an answer as to why that is. 🍺 Have you got a thread yet, would love to see what you guys are doing compared with us. We are still stuck at pre construction admin phase.. this is taking forever .. just got our contract today with 5 days cooling period .. and now wondering to run it through the solicitor or not.. any tips on it.. We are still stuck at pre construction admin phase.. this is taking forever .. just got our contract today with 5 days cooling period .. and now wondering to run it through the solicitor or not.. any tips on it.. We had a solicitor go through ours and she made some suggestions, which weren’t huge things, but Rawson just said that they wouldn’t change anything as it’s “a standard HIA contract” so it was a take it or leave it. The admin phase was extremely stressful as we were given the wrong information several times by our customer service person. You just have to go over it and over it and make sure what you wanted is in there and that all the sums add up correctly. Thanks Mate, appreciate the insight. Will definitely start a thread once we get into construction phase.. we are building Chifley with Metro facade !!🙂 Re: KDR - Rawson Chifley 42 mark ii in Newcastle. 98Jan 16, 2019 10:43 am We went through it with a solicitor she recommended a bunch of changes rawson said no. It might be worth getting a solicitor to read it and tell you what the risks are but as far as changing it they won’t. you need to make a decision as to whether you are willing to live with the contract or not. Good luck. Re: KDR - Rawson Chifley 42 mark ii in Newcastle. 99Jan 16, 2019 11:28 am [/quote] Thanks Mate, appreciate the insight. Look forward to seeing yours come along. Love to see you plans to see how they differ to ours. 😁🍺 Re: KDR - Rawson Chifley 42 mark ii in Newcastle. 100Jan 16, 2019 10:02 pm Hi Simon, What are you going to do about the steel beam? Get it replaced/get a refund/get an engineering sign off? I guess they thought it was needed for the span since there isn't brick above it? Are all the other steel beams present? Regarding the contract, agree with whats been said, it doesnt appear that you can change it. It is based on the HIA contract but it has additional even more biased conditions added. So basically read and understand it so you know where you stand. For example: details in emails from Rawson aren't considered part of the contract. They really need to be on the plans/tender or variations to be actionable. Be painfully pedantic and specific about what is written for any variations you do, it will save misunderstanding and price increases later on.. especially stair cases! Always get multiple quotes, no matter how reasonable/cheap you think it is. I remember getting a few quotes for a pool fence, roughly around the same price, thinking the… 5 9686 Just started the Build process for Chifley 42 with Rawson homes, will keep you all posted with the Build progress. 0 2451 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37139 |
