Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Metricon Chelsea33 Hows your Chelsea37 looking 4Jun 19, 2018 5:55 pm zooch84 I'm building a 37 at the moment. Personally i'd go for the bigger one just cause I like space. However, going up to the 37 only gives maybe 200-300mm dimensions to each room, so depending on the budget it may not be worth it. Building process like all builders is a mixed bag. Admin was the worst part of the process, aside from the delays it brings, its constant back and forth with getting them to fix things properly. One thing I have learnt very quickly, is that if its not in the contract, don't expect it to be done. We went to Studio M and the first day we somewhat OK, the 2nd was a nightmare. So many things that we were told we were getting we weren't. By the end, I could of gone a near rampage. Angry phone calls later, we had to give in as it wasn't in the contract and we had no legal leg to stand on. The build itself has been pretty good, my pet peeve is the lack of tradies or tradies simply not turning up. We are probably around 3-4 weeks behind due to their incompetence. The SM has been great though, and he really cares about his work. Poor guy has been swamped with another 10-15 builds and I think he isn't far off a breakdown. As always though, ensure you get independent inspections. I'm lucky that mine have only come up with minor things and the general feedback has been positive from them.
