Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Two Wells Dechellis Build 161May 08, 2019 4:33 pm 30.04.2019 Electrical is done so lights, fans, power and data points have all been installed. Carpet, garage door and final fix plumbing still needed doing as of last nights visit.I'm hating how dark it is so early. It's making it hard to get photos. PCI is booked for 15/05 and handover 29/05 so getting excited now. There are a few paint and gyprock joins that need fixing, a few window locks didn't work so need replacing/fixing?, 1 alarm sensor was missed, globes in the heat lights were missing and insulation had not been spread out over the alfresco so nothing too major. We raised the fact that the side lights on the front door still aren't frosted and they have painted the outside of the laundry door monument instead of shale grey so have raised that with them. As of PCI the roller door, carpet and some tap wear still needed to be installed. I really want the render to be whiter now so there's more contrast out the front, it looks a little bland to me. We are hoping to get a lot done in the 2.5 weeks we have taken off but we will see. Re: Two Wells Dechellis Build 163May 21, 2019 1:28 pm Obviously YOUR opinion is the only one that matters, but I don't think the render colour looks bland on the frontage at all! I think it is a lovely mix of textures and colours. Everything looks amazing. Hope you can achieve what you need to in your time off! And if not, a coat of paint is an easy fix! I still freaking LOVE your front windows Re: Two Wells Dechellis Build 166Jun 18, 2019 5:02 pm Our Alano water pumps were installed on 28.05.2019 and an electrician came on 29.05.2019 to connect power to them we were so happy, what a stress this was towards the end. So when we walked in mortar holes had not been fixed, our kitchen sink was broken, bath spout was missing, painters had not been to do any touch ups, tiling in the toilets needed silicone, 1 pop up plug was missing from an ensuite basin and they found the stove cut out was a little too big so in the corners you could see under the bench (I forgot to photograph this), the oven door clunks but we still got the keys. The plumber had literally just broke the sink, our back screen doors were installed and the painted rocked up to fix the marked spots. It felt like there were tradies going everywhere. We also got a little gift from Dechellis which was nice. All the things that were wrong/missing got added to a list for the builder to fix. Some painting was done, outdoor kitchen and deck started, fencing and gates completed too. Timber beams on alfresco are now Monument. Loungeroom and bedroom wall are called Raku. Re: Two Wells Dechellis Build 168Jun 20, 2019 2:28 pm 02.05.2019 I'd forgot to mention that the painters painted the outside of our laundry door monument but it was meant to be shale grey. They corrected that the weekend after handover as it was raining on handover day so they couldn't do it then. 13.06.2019 Last Thursday was a busy day! It was 2 weeks and 1 day since handover. We had someone come at 8AM and take our stove and oven out and shortly after the stone company were here and the bench was removed and replaced. We had all our plumbing issues resolved. The broken sink was taken out and the new sink put in, the tap was installed and the sink not broken in doing so. Our bath spout was installed and pop up plug in the ensuite done too. The silicon guy came on the weekend just gone and completed all he had to do. Tomorrow we have someone coming to look at our oven door so after this it's just the mortar holes in the bricks that we need sorted. We have been happy with Dechellis getting all these trades back and rectifying everything. I'm sure the sink and stone bench would have been expensive to replace but 100% not out fault and it was all corrected with us not having to do anything. Moving forward... we have our shed being delivered tomorrow which will probably go up in a few weekends time, we have concrete happening next week, our walk in robe will be installed early July and we have already paid a deposit for roller shutters, sheer curtains, a few roller blinds and outdoor blinds so cant wait for all of this. It’s like a black smokey mirror, it’s called coolview! I love it! Really easy to clean too which has surprised me Looks really good. Do you know what company installed it? Thanks! PJ & Son Glazing I'm pretty sure Re: Two Wells Dechellis Build 176Jun 25, 2019 12:09 pm Infra Red Hi Nicole Your place is looking really absolutely stunning! Do you mind me asking who you are getting to do your concreting and what they charge per square metre? Hello, Thanks, we are stoked with everything. Concrete is getting done by Spiteri Concrete and as for price I'm not sure exactly how many meters we are getting to be able to tell you. Re: Two Wells Dechellis Build 178Jun 25, 2019 1:06 pm Renman Thanks for the info. How have you found the black coloured sinks compared to the silver ones? Does it scratched easily ? The black sink is AMAZING!!! It literally shows no scratches, it's made out of stone so is really hardy. We used the stainless steel sink in the laundry to do dishes for a few weeks when the kitchen sink was broken and the laundry sink already has scratches so I'm glad we went the stone in the kitchen. Re: Two Wells Dechellis Build 180Jul 10, 2019 2:27 pm Just a little update on things. Concrete is done and I'm so thankful! The mud pit as soon as there was a drop of water was really annoying me. Spiteri Concrete did it for us and have done an awesome job. Highly recommend them and highly recommend the colour. I LOVE it! The colour is called Penfield and the mix is by Hanson. The same concrete has also been used for the bench of out outdoor kitchen and we have done the tiniest bit of sanding and can already see the rocks, it will look amazing once complete. We got to customize it all and the colour we went with is Polytech Antico Oak woodmatt finish. One shelf missing but they will get it to us ASAP.
