Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 16, 2018 3:38 pm So we are nearly at 8 months since atart of build, 10 days over contract and just had the state manager come down from QLD to look at our house after we discovered a problem with our brickwork. The bricklayers have bricked in different mortor gauges so we have intolerances all over the house but the major one is on our back patio which is going to have to be pulled down and redone. However because the entire house has mortor gauge size issues they are suggesting we render the house. Where do we stand when it comes to compensation/building insurance? 8 months to get to this point is beyond ridiculous. We didnt want a rendered house. I just want to get it sorted so we can move in.
