We have just had our 140mm posts installed and they are trying to tell us that this is normal. The bolts are sticking up and not flush. We got told that this is standard procedure. Can someone please clarify if this is acceptable? We were expecting the bolts to be flush. Thanks 😄 Re: 140mm post dynabolted into concrete slab 4May 14, 2018 6:30 pm mj-mac4 Hi everyone, we are building with coral homes in nsw. I would have thought that the stirrup would have been concreted in when the slab was laid. Given that it wasn't, I can see why the bolts are at an angle because the upright would have made it difficult to get the impact drive to drive perpendicular to the slab surface. That said, they could have used a stirrup with a wide bottom flange to avoid the problem. So far i have not noticed any issues with doors and windows. Builder advised they will organise drainers to inspect 2 weeks ago but no further… 7 18788 The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists. 1 5152 yep, clearly mark where the infloor heating pipes are before drilling or nailing 1 6057 |
