Just curious as to how long everyone had to wait until they received their contract back from them? amyelizabeth137 Our experience has been that nothing happens in a hurry. After signing our preliminary agreement we went through the tender process an additional 2 times before it was close enough to correct and before we ordered contacts. Roughly 4 weeks between each process. Our expectations have always been set high, but never delivered. Always takes longer than told. That must be frustrating! They told us 4 - 6 weeks and we barely changed the floor plan so crossing our fingers we aren't mucked around too much through the admin process. All I can say is do not set your expectations too high. We are still in the admin process and just when we think we are close to coming out the other side, something else crops up adding more time to resolve. If we had gone on the time-frames we had been offered along the way, our house would nearly be completed by now. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4346 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74702 |
