Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 09, 2018 11:18 am Hi All, Hoping for some guidance here. We are currently reviewing our building contract and have some concerns about the prime costs that have been included. All items listed in the prime cost schedule are listed as standard inclusions (appliances, bricks, basins) My understanding of prime costs is that they are listed to cover things that can't have the firm costs provided. My concern is that even if we go for their standard offerings that should there be a price change for example that we will be hit with a large amount of unexpected costs. Also of concern is the builders margin on these items as I would assume if it is a standard inclusion you should not be charged an additional margin. Has anyone else had experience with this? Thanks in advance Thanks. There are plenty of builders around my suburb. I'll make sure to do some door-to-door knocking, or note their building details on the temp fence. 4 4746 What we have done in a few theatres ( including my own) is run 2 layers of 13mm gyprock, but sounds insulation especially for the bass is really tricky as a lot of that… 4 2560 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13098 |
