(i start to think about this building thing 24/7 nh Re: PDers, please 2Oct 20, 2008 8:28 am Hi nh,
We are building with PD Lifestyle and our ceiling heights are 2590 for downstairs and 2440 for upstairs which was standard. It should say this in the booklet that you get from the displays. Sorry I can't help you with the roof tiles or bricks. We did upgrade our roof tiles to Cat 3 but they are a Boral tile not Monier and we chose cat 1 bricks. I'm sure there are a few people that can help with these though. You should be able to get prices of these upgrades from your CSC before you have your Hopetoun appt. I emailed a list of possible upgrades to our CSC and she gave me all the prices before colour appt. Good luck. the roof tiles, i reckon these days most people like clean lines but look at what they put in Cat 1 and cat 2 range - much older style ones, i am sure they know we'll go upgrade. - even "tradional" range are Cat 4 got no choice, have we nh Re: PDers, please 6Oct 21, 2008 7:27 pm Hi nh
Ours are CAt 1 Monier colour trough flat profile (wow, what a mouthful!! ) and they were a HUGE upgrade, b/c you have to have sarking under flat profiles, and they can only be laid on a roof of a certain pitch - they do look beautiful, though, and we have quite a large expanse of visible roof! Ours are Monier 'Cambridge'...they're on the last page of their brochure, and if you're looking thru that, they basically go up in price as you turn the pages!!! teh Cambridge looks beautiful!, i saw the cambridge on the brochure, but they aer not listed in the PD booklet roof tiles selection (they only listed cat1 to Cat 4), so i guess yours would be a Cat 5 or up? how much more do you have to pay for this upgrade? i am going for Cat 3 Georgian Soho night, hope it turns out good and we will probably go for teh basic Brighton facade. nh Re: PDers, please 8Nov 06, 2008 12:11 pm Hi nh,
We are building the PD Sandhurst 36 and it cost us an extra $2,101 to go from a standard (cat 1) to a category 3 brick (Austral Bricks color MALT). An extra $657 was also incurred because we wanted "off white" mortar instead of standard. Also, it cost an extra $1,257 for our Monier roof tiles even though we had chosen a category 1 or standard roof tile because of the color we had chosen was not standard within that range. So just be aware that there can be upgrades within a category. Hope this helps. Cheers Ash Hi We have finally decided to complete a KDR on our corner plot in NE Melbourne suburbs.
