Browse Forums Building A New House Photos 21Sep 04, 2008 9:12 pm Hope this works...
Here are a couple of photos of the inside, kitchen really... Now, we havent gone with the modern look, there is no glass splashback, stone bench tops, fully decked out walk-in robes, beautiful timber staircases, fabulous feature walls or home theatre set-ups...yet. What you have here is a simple home with great decorating potential. I will post some photos of the outside over the weekend as well. We are having the slate flooring and carpets done over the next two weeks, so will post photos of that when its done. Just goes to show you don't need all the bells and whistles to create a beautiful home. You're right, fantastic decorating potential. Look forward to exterior pics and the floors. Re: I have the keys to my new home... 24Sep 04, 2008 9:21 pm adlse, I really like that kitchen; beautiful under-stated elegance.
I'm not a fan of the ultra modern look either. What floor coverings will you have in the kitchen? Anything would go with those neutral cream colours. I see you have similar colour scheme in bathroom too, looks really great. And I wouldn't call that floor plan such a simple house: quite spacious in fact!! Cute pic of the photographer too Re: I have the keys to my new home... 26Sep 04, 2008 10:29 pm It is very nice. White Kitchen and Light Color Bathroom. We are going to have light color tiles in the bathroom, ensuite and laundry. Can't wait to see the result.
Congrates to you!!! Re: I have the keys to my new home... 28Sep 05, 2008 1:08 pm Love your colours! And nice kitchen cabinets. And no fuss building as well! And why would you need any of that to distract your eye away from that beautiful view. In saying that your house looks great, plus the added bonus of a great building experience. What more could you ask for. Great neutral colour choices giving you plenty of ways to add more in the decorating. Well done. We too are building through Statesman at Parafield Gardens! Who did you have for your site supervisor? They appear to have done a great job! Re: I have the keys to my new home... 32Nov 05, 2008 9:50 pm Hi there,
Sorry for the delay. We had neil Gettins, he was great. Got the job done, easy to talk to. We had a good experience with Statesman, finished 6 weeks ahead of schedule. There have been no major problems post handover, although the painters were pretty slack, didnt even leave any left over paint... Just sent of the 3 month check list of things we want looked at, nothing major, will see how that goes .
