Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 04, 2017 10:55 am Hi guys I thought it was about time I started my own thread. I've been following builds for the last 18 months or so. We settled on a block of land in Strathalbyn back in January of 2016 we were going back and forth with several different designs. We initially were going to build with Fairmont homes however they weren't as accomodating to what we needed. We ended up going through a Statesman home and we loved it but it did need a few changes. We needed up meshing two of their home plans together to create the perfect layout for us. We signed a contract on November 4th 2016 and got full council approval on the 30/3/17. Colour selections were done on 14/2/17. We received an email today to say they want to release us to construction next Thursday the 13th of April I've tried to load a picture of our floor plan. I hope it works!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building Modified Statesman Ashville 2Apr 04, 2017 11:56 am Congrats CK house plan looks great! We are paying for 3/4 of our build with our own funds so we have a relatively small mortgage. I honestly think this is why our bank has been dragging their feet so much. Can't wait to see some dirt finally move on our block. Re: Building Modified Statesman Ashville 11May 17, 2017 9:45 am Congrats CK!! Will be interesting to see how our builds go up time wise we were released last week and have our cut done so far Current Build with Gall3ry Living https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87680 First Build Thread : Our Mt Barker Build @ The Grove Re: Building Modified Statesman Ashville 12May 18, 2017 1:07 pm Davelle19 Congrats CK!! Will be interesting to see how our builds go up time wise we were released last week and have our cut done so far We went up today. They have done the cut and flattened the block out. They cut down so we may have to do a small retaining wall depending on what they do next door. Every block we looked at over 700sqm in Mt Barker had way too much of a slope. I don't mind Barker is only 10 minutes away.
