Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Fairhaven Homes 158Jun 12, 2018 11:48 pm Poniri I just spoke to them and unfortunately as we have already started construction we aren’t able to add the shower niches. Silly of me not to have it done at colour stage. Our junction boxes cost us $392 for 2. As for the concrete, apparently 2 weeks to cure. They have a start date for this Thursday for the frame so fingers crossed there’s not much rain 🤞🏻 I am sure all of us will forget something until it is too late. Think we will fit our own sensor solar lights to the front and side. Hope the weather ok for your frame on Thursday. That's the most fun stage I think...walking inside the rooms for the first time ☺ Re: Fairhaven Homes 159Jun 12, 2018 11:55 pm Bronte19 Tender appointment went well. Tender presenter Andrew was really patient and explained everything in detail. We ended up swapping fridge space and WIP. Fridge space was 1.5m wide which was too big for us. Now we will have pantry cupboard in that space and fridge space now 1.1m wide where WIR was. Picked up on 2 things after we got home. Realised bedroom hallways has carpet but we want laminate flooring and also could not see hinged door to WIRs in 3 bedrooms. We added these things at color. Emailed CRO waiting for reply. Contract will be emailed to us tomorrow. Andrew said usually site starts 6 weeks after tender..so fingers crossed. So happy for you that it all went well 😀 How long were you there? Did you get charged extra to switch the fridge/pantry? That's a great idea! We already told them about the hallways laminate flooring but haven't got it in writing anywhere. How much extra are you being charged for that? Did you find out the price for your wall tiles? 6 weeks will fly by ☺ Re: Fairhaven Homes 160Jun 13, 2018 8:55 pm GEOnTREY Bronte19 Tender appointment went well. No extra charge for switching fridge space with Pantry. No extra charge for laminate in bedroom hallways. Wall tiles were included in our package I think. We are looking to do a KDR with fairhaven homes, Have seen plenty of good reviews about them pre construction and plenty of negative reviews about them during contruction… 0 18046 Ask for references and speak to them.
