It’s just been so busy. We have had handover. It was on March 12th. Overall I’m very happy with metricon and in particular my site supervisor (Kenny) nothing but professionalism and care in my view. Since moving in nothing to really fuss about, just little minor things which are easily fixed. So a big tick from us. From moving in and mess everywhere, building/putting together furniture, tv units etc, organizing and also doing storm water, it’s been busy busy. Finally getting ready for concreting. Can’t wait as the dust and dirt can just go away. I’ll feel much more comfortable when concrete and lawn is laid. So I have some pics for you guys. Please excuse the messiness as these are not prepared pics but it’s much better than what it was. We are getting there Obviously internal blinds/sheers are in process of getting made. External blinds/plantation shutters are done to alfresco. Also need art/accessories to make it home. I think it’s Cos our last house was 47. So this one doesn’t feel much bigger even thou it’s nearly 20sq more. Maybe because it’s more wider then longer. Even though it’s over 28 meters long. Maybe it’s just us. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Metricon Franklin 53 modified 170Mar 28, 2019 2:01 pm betterman your house looks fantastic! So M let you do your own electrical when you asked? Also how much was the stair upgrade on top of the standard designer stairs? Hey betterman, Thank you. Yes that’s right. We were on it pretty early saying we want our own electrician, being my brother and will be a deal breaker if we can’t. Not really. We love Metricon’s designs. We just wanted to get that allowance as it’s a big money item. The stairs cost me about 19k. Yes you heard right. Madness but as this can’t really be changed afterwards, it was a non negotiable item Metricon Franklin 53 modified Re: Metricon Franklin 53 modified 171Mar 28, 2019 2:04 pm stoff17 betterman your house looks fantastic! Glad your handover went well and without a hitch. We are having our handover this coming week and were quite happy with the presentation and final inspection last week. All in all, ours will be 38 weeks. I share the same sentiment that Metricon delivered a pretty good product. Nice house btw. Love the way you finished yours... and thanks for all the help along the way. Appreciate it. Very daunting watching and putting all the last pieces together to try and get it right. Anytime mate. Very happy to help where I can without being a expert but as I was slightly ahead, I know it helps a lot if someone can add or answer any concerns. So no worries at all. Really just depends on the level of finish you want for your house, and don't forget about site costs. That alone could cost you $100k depending on your block of land. Finish level like the display home, you'll be looking at double the base, ie - $950k. Your best bet might be to go visit the display homes and walk around in them, and take photos.
