Statesman Homes (Modified Findon Alfresco) - FH Build

Hi everyone,

Long time reader, first time poster!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread on our building process to keep track of where we are and hopefully get some helpful tips or advice along the way.

We decided to build a modified Findon Alfresco with Statesman Homes. We were ultimately looking for a plan with a minimum of three bedrooms, two decent living areas and a double garage. This plan was decided after looking at the Hampsted at Munno Para with assistance from our consultant Yuki.

We purchased a 430sqm block of land in "The Green Estate" in Salisbury North. This estate is established by Land Australia so the only home and land packages available were either Hickinbotham, Statesman or SA Housing Centre.

We have finalised the plans and have had our colour selection appointment but not finalised those as of yet. The modifications we made to the plan are mostly at the rear of the house. As the design was too long for our block, we moved the alfresco to the side of the house which will hopefully create two fairly large outdoor areas. The alfresco was made larger (4.5m x 4m) and we made the garage 1m wider. Other modifications included the relocation of the WIP so there was room for a dining and living area.

The only hold up is we are still waiting for the road to be dug in as the estate is on an old school ground. This was said to be completed by April 2018 but am unsure. Settlement date is has been said to be June/July 2018 but am not sure about this estimate.

Here is the plan below (I am certain there have been other changes made to the plan along the way but having trouble remembering them)

Thank you for reading! Looking forward to updating everyone on the progress of our build.
