Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 11, 2018 11:02 am OK so we are building in Lower Chittering in WA. During our prestart discussions the builder advised they can do the power run in, temp db board and connection for just over 3k. We agreed. We are doing our own site works. the site works quotation allowed a cost for the power run in which we removed because you know we didnt want to pay for it twice. in which we discussed with the builder at prestart. the Builder has just come back to us (we are starting site works any day) and said there must be some confusion as their fee only covers the cost to run a cable and the db board rental and connection and NO trenching. Is it just me or not, as my understanding of "builder to complete power and telecommunications run in lieu of by owner. meterbox on pole existing to site" was the complete installation...? How did your build work in that respect. is 3k excessive for what they have allowed for seeing as they are no longer digging the trench and we are going to have to do it now and pay more. Signed to proceed October 2017!! Prestart Jan 2018 Contracts finally issued March 2018 Council Permits Pending Re: Power run in - Vs Trenching - Builder ambiguity 2Apr 11, 2018 7:10 pm Hsefrmkorea It's not a good start if your builder makes mistakes with estimating the power run and trenching and I am pretty sure he can't hang cables from trees therefore digging will be required...don't sign any variations In regards to doing your own site works Please make sure your own engineer Checks your site works I would hate to see your Builders structural warranty Voided and the builder passes any future structural issues onto you... You will need to put up further info if you want advice..Don't forget to remove the builders name...HTH Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs 7 6251 I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 7529 Would also like an opinion from anyone that has used xcem over hebel for floors.
