Oct 2014 - Bought land at Wollert (supposed to be titled in March 2015) Jan 2015 - Title pushed to June due to some drainage issue (pending council approval) Mar 2015 - Title delay till Oct/Nov again Oct 2015 - Delayed again ! Dec 2015 - Started to look for another location (got back the Wollert land 10% deposit) Jan 2016 - Found a small corner block (titled) in Doreen Mar 2016 - Paid and land registered.. Apr 2016 - Land settlement Sep 2016 - Plan finalized Nov 2016 - Building permit approval ! Dec/Jan - HOLIDAY Feb 2017 - Slab poured Builder (Clearview) especially the sales guy - MD, very accomodating with all the delay and changes on the land issue, but since it's been 2 years since i 1st signed with them, prices and selections changed, which is not great, but i managed to keep some of the upgrades, only issue i have with Clearview, is the admin lady ! But i wont go into detail, just want to move forward, and since now the build has started, the site supervisor, T (havent met him yet) 'sounds' good to me, as i've appointed building inspector, and it will be troublesome for him to let them know his schedule.. It's a small corner lot with side garage, only about 16sq (excluding the garage) so hopefully it wont take long for the build Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Go here for updates, since the next few replies are related to the previous Wollert build Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 4Aug 03, 2015 9:52 pm additional opinions needed :
- thinking to add a skylight in the master and living.. not sure good idea or not - window splashback recommended in the pantry ?? or skylight ? as at now.. its 'sealed' as in no natural light in there.. - actually thinking to add alfresco as well.. but due to my block size and the 60% built area, i guess that's not possible ?? or can i add a pergola with deck after handover ?? the longer i looked at my plan, the more i want to add ! Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 5Aug 04, 2015 7:38 am Window splashback would be fantastic. You can add skylight after build when you see if you need/want them. You can a pergola after build too. The splashback window variation now would work well. Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 7Aug 04, 2015 9:20 am OMG.. I finally found someone with Clearview as well.. are yours in progress ?? jai.m Congrats... Like your plan... My wifey is going to change her mind on our plan if I show her this ... We are building with Clearview homes too. Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 9Aug 04, 2015 9:23 am love to follow your thread or blog if you have one.. mind to share your build details ?? jai.m Build yet to start. Waiting for council approval. I know how it feels to find someone building with the same builder, who doesn't have any reference on Homeone. Waiting for council approval. I know how it feels to find someone building with the same builder, who doesn't have any reference on Homeone. Haven't really started the blog. I'm sure to start one soon as everything is coming together now. Well PM you the details Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 11Aug 04, 2015 6:26 pm annielee additional opinions needed : - thinking to add a skylight in the master and living.. not sure good idea or not - window splashback recommended in the pantry ?? or skylight ? as at now.. its 'sealed' as in no natural light in there.. - actually thinking to add alfresco as well.. but due to my block size and the 60% built area, i guess that's not possible ?? or can i add a pergola with deck after handover ?? the longer i looked at my plan, the more i want to add ! Agree with other comment around window splash back for the pantry. It will look great. You will be fine with the window in your master bedroom and living. Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 12Aug 18, 2015 9:45 am since my building will not be starting till next year.. i guess its good i get some opinions on some of my selections.. lets start with the bricks color.. given the choice below.. i dont like red bricks, so they are out..im moving towars.. truffle, glenfern or even kurrraong.. Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 13Sep 06, 2015 12:27 am Hi annielee, I'm also building with ClearView! Can't believe I've found others who are also building with them. I agree with the other comments. Window splashback would look great. We're also getting a window splashback for our kitchen. I prefer the extra natural light. We chose the truffle bricks. Have you seen them in person? They're quite different to what's on paper. We thought the Kurrajong looked more red in person, and like you, I don't like red bricks. We also looked at the Glenfern but chose Truffle in the end after driving to a few houses that used that colour. Good luck with your build! Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 15Sep 06, 2015 8:09 am I like the truffle or even maybe harvest bricks look nice. Wow you get way more selection them we got through gj Re: Building with ClearView @ Wollert 17Sep 06, 2015 4:03 pm I'm doing a custom build with them instead of going with one of their plans and also chose the gold package. Just signed the contract so hoping to start soon. Building in Plumpton out West. Your WIP is massive! Re: Building with ClearView @ Doreen 20Apr 15, 2016 10:01 pm Hey Annielee, Do you prefer the front of the house being on the long side of the block vs the short side? With the rollerdoor in garage I would go for the double, bigger the access the better. Do you need the 4th bedroom? We got rid of our 4th bedroom to increase the size of our other rooms. But that's because we don't need that many rooms. Our First Build viewtopic.php?t=79716 yes it does, you've just not understood it. theres a difference. 4 5331 Your house should come in "as new" condition.
