Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 07, 2018 10:17 am Hi. I'm just after some advise. Our build has gone over our contract time and the two extensions of time the builder has given us. We had our independent inspector go through the house during the week for final PCI under the assumption the house was complete minus the gas meter { due to the office lady losing the paper work, and our piers not being rendered}. Upon receiving our report, we are shocked with 48 pages of defects, some of which have not been rectified from the beginning. When we mentioned to our site supervisor that we are entilted to $250 he responded with " the build has now finished as we have received the occupancy certificate. Is this correct, because we have not been given a copy of it. Also, how could the occupany certificate pass with so many faults? Thank you for your help We are in NSW and require 2 positive covenants to be placed on the property didnt really underdtand this but apparently it will take a few months, and have just been… 2 7439 0 5669 I don’t think so as the floor area over 300 square meters then it is class 3…. 12 17926 |
