Do you need to go to M's head office? We have also almost finished building our Glendale coincidentally. Congratulations on nearly reaching the end of your build hamish11. No, you don't need to go to head office, it is all done at your new home, as you need to inspect it to ensure there are no issues. First you will have a PCI/home presentation appointment, where you will walk through the house with your SS for a few hours and identify any defects. Then they need a few weeks (almost 8 in our case unfortunately) to fix those defects. Then you have handover where you walk through again to sign off on those fixes, get your keys etc. Re: Building a Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Melbo 523Nov 21, 2019 9:40 am shokel1975 hamish11 What is the process for handover? We have been told that we will definitely get keys before then. Not sure if I can believe them though...Lol Re: Building a Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Melbo 524Nov 21, 2019 10:03 am hamish11 shokel1975 hamish11 What is the process for handover? I didn't believe it and expected it to be longer. Then we were assured it wouldn't blow out past 13 November. Here we are 8 weeks later, on 22 November getting keys. I hope you do get them before Christmas Re: Building a Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Melbo 526Nov 22, 2019 9:09 pm congrats shockel1975! How very exciting. Thanks Drew! 8 months to the day since site scrape. Just a couple of weeks longer than yours. Might have beat you if I didn’t have the 8 week wait after PCI. Haha! Congrats and enjoy Thanks macher, yeah we were pretty happy with the build speed (apart from the 7 weeks between PCI and handover), but overall, it was a fast build. Looking forward to settling in ready for Christmas 😊 Re: Building a Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Melbo 536Nov 26, 2019 7:23 pm JJ2019 Did you get your flooring done post handover? Are there any issues in getting OC due to flooring not being there? We only got carpet done post handover -Metricon laid the tiles. I work for head office of a national flooring company so we could get a much better quality carpet for a lot less than what Metricon could offer. You can get OC as long as you have tiles in your wet areas.
