Are you building Glendale or Merricks...I am doing Merricks.. Drew01 and I are both building Glendales. As Drew said, there is a wall below the shutters that is just visible at the cnr of the couch. We were talking about how the height of that wall is different from the display home to standard plans. Re: Building a Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Melbo 74May 22, 2018 6:41 am Well done....triple check everything and hope ita smooth sailing to contract stage. Were your site costs the same or did they increase or decrease. For us From memory site costs went down a bit. Good luck for your appointments.....have u pretty much selected everything? Re: Building a Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Melbo 76May 22, 2018 7:43 am shokel1975 We had our Prelim Contract meeting yesterday.... all went pretty well, however it is amazing how some items just slip off the contract, that were in the original quote, and also how some requests from the SC don't make it to the draftsperson... Glad to hear things are zooming along for you! Good luck with the next round of appointments! Yes luckily our site costs went down from $40k to $38k - even with P class site and 4-6 piers needed. We have a great SC who makes sure she ‘overestimates’ when figures are unknown. We have picked most things ahead of our selection appointments - just need to decide on benches and cabinets Re: Building a Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Melbo 78May 22, 2018 7:14 pm shokel1975 Thanks! No actual numbers yet though, because I've decided to get some some earthmoving done before I ask again... Luckily before we bought our block the developer completely cleared it, plus it’s been slightly filled to ensure it’s flat. That might have helped with the lower costs. Our site cost projection is high right now, because the block is sloping and one corner has a buried decommissioned concrete pool under the ground, and there are no services. So, I think after we get the levelling and service trench done, we can reassess. Doing as much as possible ourselves upfront to prepare the site should save some money, we think, since we can call in some mates and avoid M subcontractors mark-up.
