Metricon provisional site costs

Hi guys
We were told at our contract signing that the provisional costs can be lower and you get a refund of the difference but can't be any higher that what is put aside ? Anyone know more about this
What do you expect a new home salesman on big commissions to say, LOL and ":.. murmur (someday pigs will fly) "
You will need to do your own research and homework, ie geotech report, type footings, engineering upgrades, costs, etc,etc
In a standard HIA contract you get the money back if its not spent.......but if there is extra work you pay.

See PROVISIONAL SUMS
For those that don't have HIA or MBA Contracts
"A provisional sum is an allowance (or best guess), usually estimated by a cost consultant, that is inserted into tender documents for a specific element of the works that is not yet defined in enough detail for tenderers to accurately price." Google
Slab & Formwork costs discussed here hth
Thanks guys 👍

Henley should give you some indication of site costs. Too many variable to give you any reasonable accuracy
